Bye
I have mistakenly put some sightings into incorrect projects. I have re-edited the sightings and removed the projects and saved. When I view the sightings now they are still 'connected' to the projects. If I re-edit the sightings the projects are not listed. Refreshed cache - no change. If I now view the projects the sightings are still listed. How can I force a full data update.?
ReplyDeleteHi Mark,
DeleteIt sometimes takes a while before the BowerBird server in Canberra sends out a refreshed version. I have noticed this delay with some of my edits. Hopefully today, your Project list will have been updated. Cheers Ken
Hi Ken.. no change. I have a mayfly and a mealybug which are still listed under project 'Giant Eucalypt forests' If I view either sighting I can see the project included but if I try to edit them that project is not listed in edit mode. Likewise the project list still includes both sightings. (I know there is current turmoil in Canberra but 8>])
DeleteThe order of sightings seems to be wrong. Some of my older sightings appear before newer ones. Resorting produces different results each time. Sorting by alphabetics returns an mysterious list (possibly username/title ?) and changes the button to 'Latest added' every time.
ReplyDeleteHi Mark -- Are you viewing your personal sightings through your "View My Public Profile" button? Mine all seem to work and are listed correctly here. Cheers Ken
ReplyDeleteThe sort order issue relates to all sightings - accessed by clicking 'Sightings' top of page just right of 'BowerBird'. If you try to sort those by alphabetics you can watch the sort button revert to latest added... or if I sort by A-Z then number 2 is Steve Pearson's Microporus... which is incorrect on either user name or title.
DeleteI just noticed this applies to the 'Thumbnail list view' 'Detailed list view' seems ok. (thumbnail view is the one I use mostly)

ReplyDeleteI have also noticed an issue with the use of adjusted local times which might explain weird chronological sort orders somewhat... I am posting this at 15:17pm Eastern Standard Time on June 28
ReplyDeleteHow can I find out whether any of my sightings have been described or identified without revisiting each of them individually?
